Events - Temporary exhibition: The Lineage of Štefa and Arpad on dipslay in Žužemberk Castle

14. July 2017 - 24. July 2017

Archaeological finds, archival sources, historical and biological reports all provide evidence of the presence of lynx within the Slovenian territory. The Lynx or the ‘clear-sighted’ as it was also known, has been described as an extremely bloodthirsty wild beast, dangerous to people, especially children and, in particular, to girls. It has been also blamed for massacres of entire herds of domestic animals and game. This belief has continued through many generations.
If you would like to know more about lynx in Slovenia, visit our exhibition in Žužemberk Castle  14. 7. 2017 on.
