Workshops at your school

In wintertime, as the Technical Museum of Slovenia in Bistra is closed due to its unheated exhibition areas, it is possible to arrange our workshops at your school, by a prior agreement.
We prepared a diverse selection of workshops for school groups, all of them adapted to various age groups and school curricula.
Students can weave a bracelet, test their skills with thread and needle, make a kaleidoscope, a ballerina, measure the height of a chosen object with a measuring device, or test how far a paper flying wing plane can glide…

Visiting the IMV in Drgančevje

We are inviting you to include in your school and university curricula a visit and discovery of the development of the automotive and caravan industry in Lower Carniola. The museum collection is situated in Drgančevje in Novo Mesto. The collection was established by the Society of Friends of the IMV, in collaboration with the TMS and numerous partners, sponsors and supporters.

The collection is a point of interest for its visitors and business partners from Slovenia and abroad. Museum experts agree that the IMV Museum Collection is both of local and national importance. It displays the history of the automotive and caravan industry in Lower Carniola, which had a dominant effect on life in the region, and still to this day influences the economy and symbolises an industrial success in Slovenia and all over the world.

Visits to the museum collections are 90 minutes long. We are certain that in that time visitors will become well accustomed to the development of the automotive and caravan industry in Lower Carniola. In the future, individual groups will be able to have a more in-depth expert view into the cars and caravans, while we can already prepare a course at the museum.

Museum collection is open to visitors every Saturday in between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Group visits are possible during week time as well, but reservations must be made ahead through Mr. Vojko Grobovšek, on +386 31 819 988.
