You can also learn about the history of fishing; a pastime that was once an exclusive privilege of the then feudal and ecclesiastical lords. Fishing is presented as an important economic branch and a popular sporting activity. The development of fishing societies, which began to form in the 1980s, is also shown. The reason for their emergence was the unregulated situation in fishery, wild fishing and reports on the successes and benefits of artificial fish farming. In addition, the societies were already fighting for the preservation of clean waters.
Fishing has evolved significantly throughout history. The simplest way was hand fishing (noodling), which was never a legal fishing method, and it was mainly used by illegal fishers. They often used forbidden spears, too, mostly to catch larger fish.
