On Monday, 3rd December 2019, we invite you to visit the Technical museum of Slovenia in Bistra near Vrhnika and the Museum of post and telecommunications in Polhov Gradec. The Technical museum of Slovenia will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m and the Museum of post and telecommunications will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The doors of all cultural institutions in Slovenia are traditionally open on December 3rd to the public in honour of France Prešeren, one of Slovenia’s finest poets, who was born on this day in 1800. Due to the celebration of birth of France Prešeren the entrance in both museums will be free of charge for individual visitors.

11:00: Guided tour of the new Metalworking exhibition with the author mag. Vladimir Vilman

14:00: Guided tour of the exhibition Man on the Moon with its author

15:00: Storytelling for children about the Moon with the museum curator Katarina Batagelj

Programme of the Museum of Post and Telecommunications in Polhov Gradec:

15:00: Guided tour for families

Children, parents, grandfathers and grandmothers will discover the history of post and telecommunications in a fun, playful and informative way. We will present the time when we are eagerly waited for the postman with fresh news, and when mobile phones were not yet part of our everyday life.
