Activities for school groups in TMS Bistra

GUIDED TOURS

For school groups, we offer interactive guided tours in which students explore the world of technology through engaging stories, demonstrations and hands-on participation. You can choose from collections covering electrical engineering, metalworking, agriculture, transport, hunting, fishing, water power, forestry, woodworking, textiles and printing.

As the museum is extensive both in terms of its content and the size and variety of its collections, we recommend visiting only a few collections during one visit and leaving the others for a future visit. For the best experience, we recommend choosing up to three areas. If a guided school group consists of more than 28 students, the group is divided into two or more smaller groups, depending on the total number of students visiting the museum. The maximum number of students per museum guide is 28.

The price for a guided tour of a school group in a foreign language is €45.00 per group. Guided tours for school groups last 1 hour and 30 minutes. A shorter tour can also be arranged upon request.

Guided tours must be booked at least one week in advance. Tours can also be combined with a selected workshop. If a guided tour is cancelled less than one working day before the scheduled visit, the museum reserves the right to charge a €20.00 guide cancellation fee per group (up to 28 students) for a 1.5-hour tour.

WORKSHOPS

We offer creative and educational workshops for children of various age groups, which relate to the museum’s contents and conducted under the guidance of our museum guides. The workshops are 30 to 60 minutes long.

DEMONSTRATIONS

To further enrich and improve the teaching curriculum we also prepared demonstrations for various age groups. These are done with our guidance and are about 30 to 45 minutes long.
