In July the catalogue of the month is ”The Flying Man, Stanko Bloudek (1890-1959)”. It was published in 2009, when it accompanied our temporary exhibition about Stanko Bloudek, an important Slovenian engineer, who was a pioneer in airplane and automobile construction, an inventor, a builder of sports architecture and a sportsman. He is perhaps the most well known for constructing at the time the biggest ski jumping hill in the world, which is located in the valley of Planica in Slovenia.
The catalogue presents Bloudek’s life and work.
