VENUE HIRE

The Technical Museum of Slovenia offers its premises both in the parent unit in Bistra near Vrhnika and in the dislocated unit at the Museum of Post and Telecommunications in Polhov Gradec.

Technical Museum of Slovenia in Bistra

At the Technical Museum of Slovenia, we offer the possibility of renting premises for a wide range of events, such as seminars, receptions, concerts, press conferences, congresses, social gatherings, thematic events and exhibitions.

There are two equipped halls available:

Kočijašnica (90 m²) – equipped with a projector, suitable for up to 50 people.
Nikola Tesla Hall (120 m²) – equipped with a projector, suitable for up to 120 visitors or 80 seats

In addition to the indoor spaces, there are also courtyards and a museum park. The outdoor areas are suitable for more than 500 people. There is a parking space for guests in front of the museum.

Rental of the Coach House: €60.00 / hour (excl. VAT)
Rental of the Nikola Tesla Hall: €70.00 / hour (excl. VAT)
Rental of the courtyard or museum park: €160.00 / hour (excl. VAT)
Rental of technical equipment: €50.00 (excl. VAT)
Person on duty: €20.00 / hour (excl. VAT)
Museum entrance fee: charged according to the number of participants

Nikola Tesla’s experiments (30–60 min): €30.00 / group (up to 20 people) • €2.00 / person (20–28 people) • €50.00 / group in a foreign language
Demonstration of the operation of Vega pulleys, winches and gear transmissions (30–60 min): €30.00 / group (up to 20 people) • €2.00 / person (20–30 people) • €50.00 / group in a foreign language
Bread baking demonstration with tasting: €60.00 / group (up to 25 people)
Driving a Benz car from the 1930s (only at the museum location): €150.00 the first hour • €75.00 each subsequent hour
Museum tour in a foreign language (up to 2 hours): €50.00 / group (up to 30 people) Outside regular opening hours: €23.00 / hour (excl. VAT) + cost of person on duty €15.00 / hour (excl. VAT).

Polhov Gradec Mansion

Polhov Gradec Mansion is a protected cultural monument managed by the Technical Museum of Slovenia. The mansion’s rooms are intended for cultural and other events, meetings, gatherings, lectures, concerts, etc. To use the rooms, prior written arrangements must be made with the responsible person at the Museum of Post and Telecommunications, who keeps a record of room availability. Cultural events have priority. In the event of simultaneous applications for multiple events, the chronological order of arrival of applications or notices for room use shall be considered. When preparing an event, it must be ensured that the number of participants is appropriate for the size of the rooms. The number of participants must not exceed the capacity. The use of rooms is charged according to the valid TMS price list.
