On Friday, 24th September 2021, from 17:00 to 22:00 we inivite you to the Technical Museum of Slovenia in Bistra near Vrhnika and to the Museum of Post and Telecommunications in Polhov Gradec to the European Researchers’ Night event named ‘Night has its Might’.
From 17:00 to 22:00 both museum will have NO ENTRY FEE!
In both museums we have prepared interesting events for our visitors:
Technical Museum of Slovenia in Bistra near Vrhnika:
17:00 – 22:00: Days of Mechanical Engineering (demonstrations and experiments of students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering University of Ljubljana)
17:00 – 20:00: In the company of a KUBO robot (children’s workshop of programming robotos)
18:00 – 20:00: European Commission stand (presentation of the event’s European Commission’s project for the visitors)
17:00: Amphibians of the Ljubljana Marshes (getting to know amphibians from the local area with a museum workshop)
18:00: Otter, a mysterious resident of Ljubljana Marshes (guided tour of the exhibition on otters, which also live in the area of the museum)
19:00: Guided tour of the exhibition ‘On the hotter side of the Alps’ (guided tour of the exhibition on global wrming in Slovenia and its long term consequences)
20:00: Talk with the museum’s director Barbara Juršič Ph. D. and with the representative of the European Commission Darija Valančič (talk with the presentation of the museum and of the European Commission’s project)
Museum of post and telecommunications in Polhov Gradec:
18:00: Neptune’s Fountain (lecture about an important local monument from the 17th century, which is unique in Slovenia because of its form)
20:00 Guided tour for families of the Museum of post and telecommunications (guided tour of museum exhibitions about the history and evolution of organization of post in Slovenia and about the history of the telegram and telephone devices)
On Friday, 24th September 2021, there will be NO ENTRY FEE for both museums!
Persons older than 15 years old must have a confirmation of vaccination, of getting over COVID-19 or of having a negative result at a COVID-19 test.
