The exhibition “Us and Them without Frontiers” is a focused version of the original project of the Technical Museum of Slovenia named Knowledge Without Frontiers, exploring the fascinating connections between our two nations and the benefits that have resulted from the shared knowledge. We are presenting those individuals who have a strong and direct connection to the USA: already mentioned astronaut Sunita Williams, Voyager engineer Anton Mavretič, professor of experimental physics Anton Peterlin, planet hunter Marija Strojnik, professor of electronics Aleš Strojnik, the pioneer of Silicon Valley France Rode and inventor Peter Florjančič. Whilst Herman Potočnik Noordung never visited the USA, he was a pioneer of space technology and influenced and inspired the next generations of scientist in this field.
